Extracts from my sketchbooks
Research and narrative (achieved a 2:1) - the point of this brief was to explore character design and narrative through illustration, by illustrating one of three folk tales (I focused on toad party, a folk tale from the yanomami tribe) in the form of either a children's book, comic book or graphic novel)
Sequential illustration (achieved a 2:1) - the point of this brief was to explore the idea of sequential illustration using an animal of our choice to explore a theme of our choice (I focused on foxes and the idea of the duality of animals)
Graphic medicine (achieved a 2:1) - the point of this brief was to explore the theme of graphic medicine using printing processes (I focused on mental health diagnosis and the symptoms invloved and the manuals used)
Social Sequences: Application (achieved a 2:1) - the point of this brief was to create a collabrative zine based around a theme that we chose (we decided to focus on the theme of colours, with each person picking there own colour to research and interpret)
